In this paper from last year, David Reich and his subordinates at Harvard basically claimed that Mediterraneans and Amerindians are racially pure, while Nordics are Mediterranean-Amerindian mongrels.
Then in this post from last year, Dienekes observed that his ADMIXTURE analysis at the K = 4 level shows Europeans as having Amerindian admixture, with Nordics having more of it than Mediterraneans. He thought that this pattern was so important that he “wanted to share [it] right away”.
But it’s the K = 3 level of Dienekes’ ADMIXTURE analysis that shows what’s really going on. It shows that, except for Russians and Finns, Europeans have less than 5% Mongoloid admixture, with most European populations only having about 1% Mongoloid admixture. It shows that Amerindians, on the other hand, have around 15–20% Caucasoid admixture. At the K = 4 level, most of that Caucasoid admixture becomes part of the Amerindian component.
You can look at the K = 3 and K = 4 plots from this analysis Dienekes did back in 2010 to see clearly what is not so apparent from the spreadsheets.
Table 1 of the above paper gives the largest negative f3 statistics for the populations in the HGDP dataset. According to the table, the largest negative f3 statistic for the French occurs with Sardinians and Karitiana as the mixture components. I used the latest version of ADMIXTOOLS and calculated an f3 value of −0.005963 for French as a mixture of Sardinians and Karitiana, with a Z-score of −15.345. But I also got a significant result for French as a mixture of Sardinians and Orcadians, with an f3 value of −0.001635 and a Z-score of −10.734. And for French as a mixture of Sardinians and Russians, I got an f3 value of −0.002755, and a Z-score of −19.608, which is larger than the Z-score for French as a mixture of Sardinians and Karitiana.
I used Interpretome to produce a chromosome painting for an HGDP Karitiana genotype. Here it is:

I used all of the Old World HGDP populations to create an “oldworld3” calculator for Dienekes’ DIYDodecad. It calculated the Karitiana genotype for the chromosome painting above as being 0.09% Negroid, 27.06% Caucasoid, and 72.85% Mongoloid. It calculated the French genotype for the chromosome painting above as being 100.00% Caucasoid.
